These craggy clay vessels are thrown, compressed, and fired in a micro- geological process.  The eroded, mineral laden landscapes are celebrated in these indefinite vessels.  


They recall the knowledge shared about geology by my dedicated geologist father.  

Every epoch layer observed in road cuts on family trips were a part of traveling discourse. 


The twist ceramics provides for this project is that clay is an end product of erosion with its vitrification creating a type of reverse transformation.
